Carassauga Multi-cultural Festival Inc.
Carassauga Festival Inc. was founded in 1985 to organize a city-wide multicultural festival to promote understanding, respect and cooperation among all Canadians of different heritage in the City of Mississauga. The Festival is made of different pavilions representing countries or regions of the world. Pavilions are operated by Mississauga-based non-profit organizations and depict the culture of their country/region of origin through food, music, art, dance, fashion shows, historical displays, games and vendors.

Carassauga Discovers New Talent
This application is for “Carassauga Discovers New Talent”, an inaugural talent show being added to regular programming. The Festival will take place May 26-28, 2016, in several venues around Mississauga. A majority of the programming and pavilions will be at the Hershey Centre. Organizers are expecting contestants from communities from all areas of Ontario and upstate New York. The winner of the Singing Star Contest will be chosen by a panel of local professionals in the music industry. In addition to having an original song produced and recorded professionally, the winner will have a chance perform at the Carassauga Outdoor Main Stage during the Festival and at other Carassauga events throughout the year.
