The Caribbean Scholarship Foundation (CSF) is a charitable non-profit entity that focuses on promoting equity and providing opportunities in business, employment, education, arts and economic growth for the Caribbean diaspora.

To foster the advancement of the Global Caribbean community, by implementing programs, which include scholarships, grants and workshops, that bolster education, business, artistic and professional excellence, therefore creating opportunities for advancement and economic prosperity.

To be the leading organization addressing the business, professional, artistic and economic needs of the Caribbean Community.

Purpose:

To foster the growth of entrepreneurship, business acumen, professional distinction, advanced learning, artistic expression and financial advancement.

To facilitate networking between individuals and resources.

To recognize and celebrate outstanding accomplishments.

To form partnerships and collaborate with various groups on issues related to business, education, arts, economic progress, and community health.

To strengthen ethnic inclusiveness, understanding and advocate for equity.

This application is for the “Trinbago Festival”, taking place September 7 and 8, 2024 at Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto. The inaugural event, held in 2023 at Yonge and Dundas Square, drew over 20,000 people from across the GTA and Ontario for two days of music, food, and live performances. The event will feature a line-up of local and international Caribbean artists and DJ's performing soca, calypso and steelpan music all day long. There will also be exhibitions of carnival costumes, moko jumbies (stilt walkers) and fire breathers. The event is held under the auspices of the Consulate General of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, in partnership with Tourism Trinidad Limited and the Tobago Tourism Agency Ltd. Other partners include Carib Beer, Grace Foods, Vitamalt Canada, United Association Local 46, and LuluLemon.
