Incorporated in 2024, BMK Event and Promotions Inc. is dedicated to enriching community life through cultural events and impactful promotions in the GTA. Their flagship events is Durham Summerfest, the only event of its kind in all of Eastern Ontario. Launched in 2023, the festival quickly gained recognition as an annual cultural celebration, bringing together music, art, and food in a family-friendly environment. The inaugural welcomed over 7,000 attendees, establishing Ajax as a destination for multicultural entertainment. In 2024, Durham Summerfest expanded into a two-day festival, attracting over 10,000 people and featuring renowned international artists, as well as 30 Canadian artists, both from within the Durham region as well as the Greater Toronto Area. Beyond Durham Summerfest, BMK Event and Promotions has also organized Ajax Holiday Fest in December 2023, a community celebration featuring local artists and holiday-themed activities.

This application is for “Durham Summerfest 2025”, taking place August 23 and 24, 2025, at the Ajax GO Station parkin lot. The event will continue to provide a free, family-friendly atmosphere, making cultural entertainment accessible to all. Programming includes:

(1) Main Stage featuring headline performances from two renowned South Asian artists from Pakistan and India, alongside local talent;

(2) Food District featuring local and international cuisine, with an emphasis on South Asian flavours;

(3) Kids' Zone with interactive activities, face painting, games, and performances for young attendees; and

(4) Vendor Marketplace hosting local businesses, artisans, and entrepreneurs.
